Just a two day weekend this time around, but next week will be amazing. It's so weird when we have two day weeks. It happens once a year but it's the one week everyone looks forward to. When we were in kindergarton, there used to be school on Wednesday, then in middle school the shortened it to an early dismissal, where we got out at like 1:30. But too many kids were leaving to go on vacation that day so they decided to give it off as well. Now the problem is that parents think, "Oh, just two days of school. My kids can miss that and we can go on vacation for a week instead of five days." Seriously, half my classes aren't in school during this week. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that by the time my eight year old brother gets to high school, we will be getting a week off for Thanksgiving. This is getting out of control.
